Financial Aid Process
Step 1: Complete your FAFSA or NJ Dreamers Alternative Financial Aid Application by state deadlines. The FAFSA becomes available on October 1st, yearly.

Helpful Tips
- Check your Rutgers/HESSA email regularly as additional documents may be requested at any time
- Rutgers Financial Aid may take 5-7 business days to review your document. If you see a document has not been removed from your list after that timeframe, contact us
- If you are asked to submit the same document to HESSA & Financial Aid, it must be submitted in BOTH portals
